Colon Hydrotherapy Contraindications

Having a conflict or contraindication is a condition or factor that acts as a reason to withhold a particular therapeutic intervention owing to the potential disadvantage that it may bring to the individual by preventing the person from receiving a session. Before scheduling your session, your Colon Health Practitioner will assess and discuss all these contraindications with you. This is because some patients may be able to receive treatment with a release from their doctor.

  • Abdominal Surgery (within 12 months)

  • Abnormal Distension

  • Acute Liver Failure

  • Anemia

  • Aneurysm (all types)

  • Carcinoma of the Colon

  • Cardiac Condition

  • Crohn's Disease

  • Colitis

  • Dialysis

  • Diverticulosis/Diverticulitis

  • Fissures & Fistulas

  • Hemorrhaging

  • Any Epilepsy-Seizure Disorder

  • Hemorrhoidectomy

  • Intestinal Perforations

  • Lupus

  • Pregnant

  • Rectal/Colon Surgery

  • Renal Insufficiency

  • Kidney Disease

  • Colonoscopy (within 12 weeks)

  • C-Section (within 9 months)

 

Please Note: People who take Prednisone or blood thinners are also not allowed to use this service because those prescription medications could inadvertently weaken the walls of the intestines.

 

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions about the potential risks. A small fee will be charged at 50% if a known contraindication is present at the time of service when the client can't get the service. Sometimes, the fee may be waived, based on each circumstance. Should you have a concern the Colon Health Practitioner can reach out to your physician for clearance.
